| Judi
Wild
first employed her artistic talent as a draftsperson, and then
as a graphic artist. After more than 20 years in the corporate
world, she turned to painting, developing and mastering the labour-intensive
method of applying watercolours using the 'drybrush' technique.
This gives her work that extra dimension in the delicate detailing
she painstakingly portrays. Judi taught her unusual painting style
for some time but is now consumed by her work. She is represented
in the National Archives of Canada and in many corporate collections
world-wide. She has won several competitions including the "Peoples
Choice" award in 1996 and again in 1998 at the Parksville/Qualicum
Brant Festival on Vancouver Island. |
