Kathy Saluke
Kathy and Selby
collaborate to create images in fabric collage which celebrate
the natural world. Inspired by the connections between all aspects
of nature and by the wisdoms and insights gained by observing
the plants, the animals, the seasons, the cycles, they seek to
draw attention to the oneness and the beauty of all life. Each
piece is a layering of colourful fabrics which are then stitched
and embellished to enhance particular design elements and textural
qualities. They have exhibited their works at the Sooke and Sidney
Fine Art Shows, and their art work has found its way to a variety
of homes, offices, and public spaces in Canada, the United States,
and abroad.
