| Rusty and Ann Sage
set up shop in Sooke over 20 years ago, crafting magnificent and
often whimsical furniture pieces. Their work soon caught the eye
of Frederique Philip and they began building furnishings for Sooke
Harbour House. Over the years, they have created many unique pieces
to compliment the various themes of different rooms, finding inspiration
in the incredible natural beauty of the area. Their materials
are locally grown woods: maple, yew, wild cherry and pine, often
salvaged from logging operations. Rusty first learned the art
of furniture construction while repairing antiques in his native
England.
