| Nishka
Philip
is a Visual Arts student at the University of Victoria, who works
primarily in printmaking, (intaglio), painting and sculpture.
She credits her parents, Sinclair and Frederique Philip of Sooke
Harbour House, and their passion for art and natural beauty with
leading her to appreciate visual brilliance in all its forms.
The themes Nishka explores in her artwork evoke her West Coast
surroundings: the trees, the ocean, and because of her unique
upbringing at Sooke Harbour House, the food that is a result of
such pure, natural bounty. |
