On of the finest Art Galleries on Vancouver Island

Pauline Olesen lives on a small West Coast island, where the sea and her garden continuously instill themselves in her glass works. Self-taught in all areas, Pauline first worked in hand-painted tiles, ceramics and pottery, which led to firing glass into carved clay forms. This carried on to fusing. Along the way, Pauline discovered she loves the transformative process of firing, and glasswork has now become her focus. She finds every work to be part experiment because the final outcome, the opening of the kiln, is always a surprise that has yet to disappoint.
