Mirosevic
collects beach glass, some of which is over 100 years old, for
her sparkling, colourful works of utilitarian art. Originally
from shipwrecks and canneries, the glass and ceramic shards are
tumbled by the powerful sea to become the raw material for her
votives, lamps, jewelry, mirrors and other decorative works. Using
wire wrapping and copper foiling techniques, she creates original
designs that are a blend of history, beauty and artistic skill.
She also accepts commissions. Self-taught, Norra is continuously
developing creative and unusual ways to work with the treasures
from the sea. |
