On of the finest Art Galleries on Vancouver Island

Jan Lovewell and Ron Robb formed Rare Earth Pottery in 1995 and have worked in partnership ever since. For several years previously, Jan made collages and nature photographs, including macro photography of flowers. Now she has returned to pottery, where she continues to explore symbol, form and texture by creating hand-formed, burnished and raku-fired works of art. Ron has exhibited in various media, including painting, photography, seriography and ceramics. Regarding his pottery primarily as an aesthetic and symbolic art form, he has made both classical and experimental forms, freehand. Jan and Ron are currently represented by several galleries in British Columbia, including Sooke Harbour House.
