| Gillian
Ley
is an accomplished painter, best known for her vibrant and sensual
floral images. These are inspired by her natural surroundings,
and created by memory, fantasy and imagination. Florals have long
been her main passion and she works primarily in watercolour,
gouache and ink. She is an active member of the Island Illustrators
Society and the Victoria arts community. In 1995 she was one of
the featured artists at the Royal British Columbia Museum Illustrators
Showcase. Gillian teaches painting classes through the University
of Victoria's Extension Programs, and also works as a successful
residential and commercial Interior Designer. |
