| Frank
Armich
was born on Vancouver Island. As a young apprentice in his father's
business of producing burl wood furniture and clocks, Frank quickly
developed a keen attraction to the inherent beauty of local woods:
Bird's Eye Maple, Red and Yellow Cedar, Fir. Today he creates
by hand an extensive line of artistic sculptures such as mirrors,
mystical trees, bowls, whales and wall pieces, out of these woods.
Frank also uses a variety of roots to create one-of-a-kind chairs,
tables, lamps and beds…and houses built out of driftwood. In addition,
he enjoys crafting silver-plated, whimsical wind chimes. He has
exhibited across Vancouver Island and throughout North America. |
